Human-caused greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions must be drastically reduced and eventually halted to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change.
The GHG emissions of others are reduced when:
- An activity is modified to deliver the same results with lower GHG emissions;
- An activity is substituted by another which leads to no GHG emissions; or
- GHGs are intercepted before emission, and either used or stored in a way that prevents later emission.
This Positive Pursuit encompasses any action which achieves such an outcome
