We’ve been actively exploring new ways to engage with our community through webinars and workshops that foster meaningful discussions and provide diverse perspectives on the Future-Fit Business Benchmark and broader sustainability topics. Recently, we hosted a roundtable focused on key challenges for adopting the Benchmark and the discussion notes have been used to start a new resource section here. We also participated in a Serious Game workshop organized by Sustainable Pathways – see below for more details.
We’d love to hear your ideas for enhancing these discussions! If you’ve attended a workshop or roundtable that you found particularly effective, please share your thoughts with us.
Introducing Katherine
We’re delighted to announce that Katherine Webb will be stepping in as the maternity cover for Alisa as the Community Programs Lead role. Katherine is already on board as part of our team, so feel free to reach out to her with any questions about Future-Fit, our programs, or community matters. You can contact her at katherine@futurefitbusiness.org.
Serious Game
A group of intrepid Changemakers came together to tackle Sustainable Pathway’s fabulous role playing game. Each participant played a member of a fictitious company considering what, if anything, to do about its sustainability program. Using well-defined character profiles, each round of the game offers a decision which the players have to discuss and agree from their unique perspective. The game progresses through a number of rounds, with each step revealing new insights and challenges before an overall solution is achieved.
Everyone enjoyed participating and were particularly challenged by having to express views and achieve outcomes that were often completely opposed to their real life views. All agreed though this is a great way to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and try to see the world from their perspective!
If you’d like to give it a go or create a version for your organization, please reach out to Ciaran@sustainable-pathways.com.
Brazil pt.2
Martin found himself back in Brazil this month, presenting a Vision of 2070 as part of the Horasis Global conference. He was also there to continue discussions on setting up a Local Chapter in the country and pursuing a project to work with local stakeholders to create a roadmap for the State of Espírito Santo to become Future-Fit. The gentleman in the middle of the photo is State Governor Renate Casagrande, so we have good support!
We’ll shortly be posting the 2070 vision and asking you all to participate in co-creating that, so watch this space!
