WHEB is a specialist investor focused on the opportunities created by the global transition to more sustainable, resource efficient and energy efficient economies.
WHEB’s mission is to advance sustainability and create prosperity through positive impact investments. It focuses on a single global equity strategy, which has been developed over the long-term and tested across market cycles. The fund itself is built around an investment strategy of sustainability, growth, quality and valuation. It achieves this by focusing on nine sustainability investment themes with strong growth characteristics, derived from providing solutions to major social and environmental challenges. Individual stocks are selected through a bottom-up, stock-by-stock fundamental and rigorous research process to identify the highest quality companies.
WHEB’s investments explicitly support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and clients are able to calculate their individual positive impacts associated with their own investment in WHEB’s funds. WHEB’s investment team also actively engage with companies to encourage more progressive behaviour on key environmental, social and governance issues. It is for these reasons that the asset manager is known for extensive experience, thought leadership and innovation.
WHEB is committed to becoming a Future-Fit Business, and has set itself the goal of becoming a net zero carbon business by 2025 at the latest. The organisation also recognises that it – along with the financial services sector as a whole – does not reflect the gender and ethnic diversity of the communities that it serves. This is an industry-wide challenge and WHEB commits to doing all it can to address this.
WHEB began supporting Future-Fit Foundation in 2018, and since then we have worked together to establish how the investment market can be pushed beyond just “doing no harm”, and therefore achieving the Benchmark’s Positive Pursuits.
