In order to achieve its vision of sustainable capitalism, Equity Ownership Services (EOS) at Federated Hermes was founded in 2004 and has subsequently become the world’s most effective stewardship platform. Representing £346.3 billion of assets under advice, the EOS approach goes beyond short financial gain and concentrates instead on value added over the long term by engaging with companies and policy-makers on environmental, social, governance, strategy, risk and communication issues. EOS at Federated Hermes is working to help organisations understand that stewardship is not just good for the environment and society, but good for business too.
Federated Hermes was one of the first investment institutions to publicly support Future-Fit Foundation in 2018, and subsequently worked with our team to explore how the Future-Fit Business Benchmark could be used to ensure EOS engagement activities were aligned with humanity’s most pressing problems.
