Martin has led companies for Apple, Disney, EMI and Ceviche internationally and has a unique experience set having worked for the last 20 years in both non-profit and private sectors at an operational level, as a CEO and at Board level.
Motivated by environmental, social and economic justice he has worked in sustainability, social enterprise, tech, consumer products, music and food sectors and is a transformation, change, culture building, team building and innovation expert. He has guided organizations through both accelerated growth and challenging turnarounds successfully transitioning them when faced with changing environments.
He worked for Steve Jobs at Apple, launching and heading iTunes Pan EU guiding it to become the world’s biggest digital retailer. At Disney in the EMEA region he was in charge of running brand management and launching the global teen-hit brand High School Musical, leading digital transformation which resulted in the precursor to Disney+ and led its music business developing Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers among others. At EMI he signed and launched KT Tunstall, and as the founder and CEO of Ceviche he introduced Europe to sustainable Peruvian food, won GQ’s Innovator of the Year Award, Entrepreneur of the Year by the UK Chamber of Commerce and became a best selling author.
He is a Senior Advisor at Ashoka and runs his own consultancy working for circular economy, tech-for-good, impact investment and purpose-driven companies. For many years he has also guided and advised several charities and social enterprises particularly those working in climate change, improving mental health, young people’s opportunities and alleviating poverty. Alongside being a Trustee at Future Fit Foundation, he sits on the Boards of Big Issue Invest and charities Recovery Focus and Global Radio’s Make Some Noise.
